IASCP History
From a modest beginning of 10 members in 1959, ISMA to NISMA to
IASCP has grown to an international organization of more than 600
Professional Store Managers, Professional
Material Managers, Professional Purchasing
Agents, Professional Distributors and
other Supply Chain Professionals from related fields, each of whom
is dedicated to improving standards. The membership represents 40
of the United States and Canada encompassing industries such as
paper and forest products, chemical, power, production and distribution,
bearing manufacturers, and distributors of all kinds.
In today's fast paced business world, supply chain professionals,
like other executives, must avail themselves of every opportunity
to lead their companies forward. This mission of IASCP is to provide
its members with opportunities to learn the latest techniques and
strategies to benefit both their company and the individual.
Our Mission
IASCP's mission is comprised of international dedication
to providing a professional environment, continued education and
new technology where the intellectual synergy of the membership
produces successful leaders of tomorrow.
The primary functions of the association are to give each member
the opportunity to expand their knowledge of supply chain operations,
exchange ideas, share common problems and get to know each other
on a first name basis.
It is the intent of this organization to further the education
of its members and to bring higher standards to the Supply Chain
Profession. We strive to reach this goal by presenting speakers
